Skagen Sydstrand Camping

Ordering and payment

If you book a stay with your own caravan/tent/motorhome or stay in a cabin, the full amount is payable immediately after the booking has been made. Immediately after receiving your booking, Skagen Sydstrand Camping will send you a rental voucher by e-mail. If you do not receive an e-mail with your rental voucher, please check your spam and/or junk mail.

Checking the rental certificate

Upon receipt of the rental voucher, it is the renter's responsibility to ensure that the period and unit selected are correct.

Cancellation protection

(Please note that if you booked before October 25, 2025, the previous cancellation policy applies. Please contact the reception if you have any questions about this.)

With cancellation protection, you can change your booking free of charge and get a refund if you
cancel your stay.
If you do not purchase one of our three cancellation protections (Flex, Plus, or Premium), you will not
be able to change your booking or get a refund.

Cancellation protection Flex
5% of the booking amount

More than 60 days before arrival:
Cancellation more than 60 days before arrival will result in a 100% refund of the booking amount,
minus the cost of the cancellation protection.

59-30 days before arrival:
Cancellation of your stay will result in a refund of 75% of the full amount, minus the cost of the
cancellation protection.

29 to 0 days before arrival:
Cancellation of stay will not result in a refund.

Cancellation Protection Plus
10% of the booking amount

More than 60 days before arrival:
Cancellation more than 60 days before arrival will result in a refund of 100% of the booking amount,
minus the cost of the cancellation protection.

59-5 days before arrival:
Cancellation of your stay will result in a refund of 90% of the booking amount, minus the cost of the
cancellation protection.

4 to 0 days before arrival:
Cancellation of your stay will not result in a refund.

Premium cancellation protection
15% of the booking amount

Cancellation up to 12:00 noon on the day before arrival will result in a refund of 100% of the booking
amount, minus the cost of the cancellation protection.

During your stay

Our three different cancellation protections do not cover you if you have to interrupt your stay with us.
If you have to interrupt your stay (for any reason), the rest of your stay will not be refunded

Right of cancellation and refund

Please note that your booking is not covered by the Consumer Contracts Act's rules on the right of cancellation. The sale of accommodation (cabins, holiday homes, camping etc.) is covered by a special exemption provision in the Consumer Contracts Act prgf 18 (2) no 12. The booking made is thus not covered by a 14-day right of cancellation.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome at the campsite and in our cabins. There is a separate charge for bringing dogs. If you bring a dog into our cabins or beach villas without prepayment, a cleaning fee of DKK 750,- will be charged.

Arrival and departure

Cabins

Arrival from 15:00. Departure no later than 10.00 am

Camping & caravanning

The pitch can be expected to be ready at 14:00 and must be vacated by 12:00.

Specific seats cannot be guaranteed, but we will of course endeavour to fulfil your wishes.

Skagen Sydstrand Camping accepts no responsibility for the guest's ability to use the rental. If you as a guest are cut off from the possibility of transport to and from the holiday park (e.g. due to cancelled flights/train departures, car problems, traffic conditions, border closures, etc.), you will not be compensated for this.

Smoking on site

All cabins are non-smoking. This also applies to e-cigarettes. If this is violated, a cleaning fee of dkk 1500,- is payable.

Smoking on site in general

Show consideration in outdoor common areas and remember that cigarette butts belong in the rubbish bin. Smoking is not allowed in indoor common areas. This also applies to e-cigarettes.

The guest's responsibility

The cabin tenant is fully liable for the inventory in the rental unit. Defects and damage caused by the tenant are settled upon departure. The person who signed the rental agreement is also liable for damage caused by other occupants and guests in the rental unit. Cabins may be occupied by a maximum of the number of people stated in the price list. Persons over the age of 18 must be present during the entire stay.

Hygiene conditions, including COVID-19 and more.

Due to hygiene reasons, there may be facilities with limited access during your stay. There may be areas that are temporarily closed or areas/facilities that will be closed for the duration of your stay. This will not give rise to a refund of part or all of your stay.

Complaints

At Skagen Sydstrand Camping, we will do everything we can to make your stay special. However, mistakes will always occur and if there are things you as guests are dissatisfied with, you must contact the reception as soon as possible. If a rental unit is inadequately cleaned, or if there is damage in the rental unit that we have overlooked, you must contact reception immediately upon arrival (within 2 hours) to have the defect rectified. Complaints about, for example, cleaning that are only made upon departure will not be processed.

Skagen Sydstrand Camping cannot be held responsible for the presence of animals and insects, as the site is located in a natural area.

If you wish to make a complaint after you have returned home, you can write to us no later than 7 days after departure at the email address inf@skagensydstrand.dk

In case of disagreement, legal proceedings will be initiated and cases will be decided according to Danish law.

Data protection

Skagen Sydstrand Camping is the data controller in accordance with data protection legislation. Any enquiries regarding data protection must be addressed in writing to dpo@hvidbjerg.dk
Skagen Sydstrand Camping processes the personal data provided by the tenant in connection with the booking because it is necessary in order to complete the booking and thus also fulfil the rental agreement, as well as to comply with any other obligations under the agreements entered into between Skagen Sydstrand Camping and the tenant.
As a tenant, you have the right at any time to object to the processing of your personal data for these purposes.
Skagen Sydstrand discloses, to the extent necessary, relevant information contained in this agreement to business partners (ex. cleaning company, credit card company, insurance companies and public authorities) for the purpose of being able to complete the rental, collect correct and secure payment or to the extent necessary in accordance with the legislation in force at any time.
Skagen Sydstrand Camping only transfers personal data to countries outside the EU/EEA to the extent necessary and only where there are appropriate guarantees for an adequate level of protection in accordance with the legislation in force at any time.
Skagen Sydstrand Camping receives email addresses from Facebook, which are collected with the users' consent through adverts so that they can receive newsletters. The information is only used in connection with the sending of newsletters and acceptance can always be withdrawn by unsubscribing from the newsletter via the link in the newsletter.
Personal data is only stored for the period necessary for the relevant purpose or in accordance with applicable legislation.
As registered, the tenant has the right to be informed about - and receive a copy of the data - that Skagen Sydstrand Camping has registered and to have such information/data corrected or changed if these prove to be incorrect. The lessee also has the right to have information/data deleted if it is no longer necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected or if the processing is illegal. Finally, the tenant has the right to request Skagen Sydstrand Camping to restrict the processing of the data in question.
Skagen Sydstrand Camping uses server-side cookies and a secure connection to ensure the security of the information you as a guest provide on our website.
When paying by credit card, the registration is done via a secure server where the information is encrypted before being sent via the Internet.

Prices and discounts

Prices at Skagen Sydstrand Camping are adjusted regularly and the current prices can be found on our website. We reserve the right to cancel a rental agreement due to typing and/or printing errors. Discounts cannot be combined.

Force Majeure and similar conditions

If fulfilment of the rental agreement is not possible - or is significantly impeded - due to force majeure or comparable circumstances, including but not limited to: War, riots, natural disasters, oil and petrol rationing, pollution disasters, epidemics, pandemics, suspension of currency trading, unusual weather conditions, drought, floods, border closures, traffic conditions, strikes, lockouts and the like, which could not be foreseen at the conclusion of the rental agreement, Skagen Sydstrand Camping is entitled to cancel the rental agreement as Skagen Sydstrand Camping cannot be held responsible in said cases.

In such cases, Skagen Sydstrand Camping is obliged to notify the lessee as soon as possible. The lessee is not entitled to a refund of paid amounts. However, the lessee will receive a credit note for the amount paid. The voucher can be used to purchase a new stay within a 3-year period.
